My name is Michelle Whistlecraft and I’m the Obedience Chairperson for the Rottweiler Club of Canada. As the Obedience Chairperson, it’s my goal to ensure a committed club focus on Obedience Trials and work as a liaison between the Rottweiler Club of Canada and the Canadian Kennel Club.

I’ve owned and showed Rottweilers for 9 years and founded Southern Alberta Rottweiler Rescue Society in 1997. I’m proud Mom of Ch. & O.T.Ch Booshay’s Ebony Earthquake Am UD, TT, CGN, CGC “Quinn” (10 years), Ch Wathaman’s Roc To A Rebel Yell DD, TT, CGN “Idol” (2 years) and Wathaman’s Trainwrek O Trouble “Crash” (8 months) and their Rescued rotten siblings “Neko CD” (8 years) and “Sierra” (9 years) and the boss of our household, a rescued Pug “Molly” (7 years).

My husband, Nik, and I live in Calgary and I enjoy working in Obedience, Tracking, Confirmation, Agility and Carting with my dogs. I work part-time at a local pet supply store, assist in dog training classes and continue our Rottweiler Rescue commitments. When I’m not working with dogs, I can be found providing business analyst support to companies in the oil and gas industry.

My involvement in owning, handling, showing and rescuing Rottweilers has resulted in a high level of commitment to the breed and I support the Rottweiler Club of Canada’s continued advocacy for responsible breeding and ownership of these magnificent dogs.

I look forward to introducing, or reacquainting, myself with RCC members across Canada.
