I’ve shared my life with rottweilers for 20 years. Currently I live with my three wonderful kids, Jazz, Ella and Dinah-mite! My dogs and I are very active in performance venues. We play in conformation, obedience, herding, carting. As well, we’ve dabbled in agility and tracking as well. I live in beautiful Maple Ridge BC with my husband, Jim, who is our biggest fan and supporter, and my mother May, who is 91.
I need help!, I have a very beautiful rottwieler cross 16 month old male named Doc, (my girls are fans of “snowwhite”). He is a good boy, however he is starting to show aggression towards small dogs, I cannot walk him, not because he doesnt walk properly beside me but because he has become to protective of me and will place himself between me and whatever he thinks is a threat which puts him instantly on guard. I need some help from some one who is familiar with the breed and what they need but can also take into consideration my needs as well. one of my biggest issues is I am losing my hearing and I will need training based on a combination of vocal signals and hand signals that are simple enough even my 3 year old can do them. please if you can help I would really appreciate it. I dont want to go to some generic puppy traing course that will altimately not be beneficial to him and us as a family. please, please, please I really want to raise a happy healthy obedient puppy.

Hi Kathy: If you are trying to contact a club member you are better off to use their email (view our contact page for email addresses https://rottclub.ca/contact/) than placing a comment in thier bio as it may be a significant amount of time before they view the page again.
Depending on where you are based you may wish to contact a Rottweiler Rescue in your friends area and they may be able to help or take the dog in for fosterage. For information on rescues please visit our rescue page: https://rottclub.ca/category/rottweiler-rescue/
